March 2013 brings crafters, bikers to Volusia County Fairgrounds


February has Valentine’s Day, but what’s not to love about March? March will be another busy month at the Volusia County Fair & Expo Center, including a roller derby competition March 9, 2013, the Down the Street Bead Show & Sale March 9-10, 2013, Bike Week camping March 8-17, 2013, and on March 27, 2013 the Deland Chamber of Commerce Business Expo.

Once the RV Show and Sale concludes on March 3, the Down the Street Bead Show & Sale returns Saturday and Sunday, March 9-10, from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Saturday, and from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Sunday. For an entrance fee of $5, bead lovers and crafters can purchase beads and findings of all varieties or shop the handmade jewelry from a variety of artists and vendors.  Learn how to make jewelry in the bead and wire-wrap classes, too. The Thunder City Derby Sirens return home for a season-opening bout at 7 p.m. (doors open at 6:30 p.m.). For more details about the Siren’s schedule, visit www.derbysirens.com.  Parking is free at the Fairgrounds.
